Steam Distillation Process
Pressurised steam reactors deliver consistent, high-purity output from both domestic and imported resins.
- 01
Raw Material Reception
Domestic pine resin arrives from our extraction operations. Imported African resins (Boswellia, Commiphora, Acacia) arrive via customs-cleared shipments with country-of-origin documentation.
- 02
Pre-Treatment & Weighing
Raw material is weighed, logged, and pre-treated as required (moisture control, initial sorting). Batch records are opened for traceability.
- 03
Steam Distillation
Pressurised steam is passed through the resin in sealed reactors. Volatile aromatic compounds are carried in vapour, condensed, and separated from the hydrosol.
- 04
Separation & Collection
Essential oil floats above the hydrosol and is separated. Colophony residue (for pine batches) is collected separately as a solid resin product.
- 05
GC-MS Testing
Each batch is submitted to an accredited third-party university laboratory for Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry analysis. Results are provided to buyers as COA.
